Seth Rollins to be Next WWE Champion? | A Wrestling Q&A
Ah yes, a Q&A. My creativity has reached an all time peak. My originality is truly unmatched and everybody should bow down to me! Okay let me stop myself. This is obviously not a very innovative idea as everyone and their dog has done a wrestling Q&A, but I'm looking to release a second blog this weekend, so i need something to fill that midweek void, hence why this is happening! Without any further delays, let's answer some questions
“Dream Matches? Can be past or present “ from @historicfailure
The wrestling geek inside me always gets thrilled when talking about potential dream matches. I've got quite a few i could name off the top of my head, so here you go:

Kenny Omega vs CM Punk
Tyler Bate vs Ricky Knight Jr
Dangerous Tekkers vs Aussie Open
Mayu Iwatani vs Bianca Belair
Rey Mysterio vs Vikingo
Keith Lee vs Yuji Okabayashi
Miyu Yamashita vs Thunder Rosa
PAST
Bryan Danielson vs Kurt Angle
Brock Lesnar vs Takeshi Morishima
Tomohiro Ishii vs Vader
Kenta Kobashi vs Kazuchika Okada

Mayu Iwatani vs Manami Toyota
“Thoughts on a Seth Rollins WWE Championship reign in 2022?” from @lynchxblueprint
It really just depends on the circumstances. I'm a big fan of Seth, he's thoroughly entertaining and is one of the most gifted in-ring workers in WWE. I don't think he should dethrone Roman nor Big E, but if the time is right at some point in the next year, i wouldn't be opposed to a Seth Rollins world title run
“Most Underrated Match of 2021 AND What wrestlers are you expecting to have a Breakout Year in 2022? “ from @stan_otis
There's been some really underrated matches this year, but I'll go with Takeshita vs Ueno from DDT
It only happened at the start of the month but it was spectacular. Ueno perfectly fulfilled the role of the underdog, i was originally rooting for Takeshita but towards the end my opinion had completely shifted in favor of Ueno, which is a testament to how how good both men were. Some honourable mentions include:
- Will Ospreay vs Ricky Knight Jr (RevPro)
- Mark Haskins vs LJ Cleary (OTT)
- Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn (Smackdown)
- Tomohiro Ishii vs Yuji Nagata (NJPW)
As for the second question, I'm planning on going into detail about some candidates in a future blog but I'll throw one name out there: Gabriel Kidd. He's recently returned to a New Japan ring after dealing with some personal issues, but from what we've seen so far he seems better than ever. It's truly wonderful to see him back and i firmly believe he'll have a year to remember
“Thoughts on Kevin Owens re-signing? “ from @FightSteenKO
I don't mean to boost my own ego or anything, but i actually predicted this would happen in a previous blog whilst the general consensus in the wrestling community was that KO would leave. I'm literally the most reliable source in all of wrestling!
All joking aside, good for Kevin Owens. The guy has likely secured a fat paycheck and a comfortable spot in the main event scene. Judging by what we're seeing on RAW too, the dude seems to be having a fantastic time alongside Seth Rollins. I couldn't be happier for him
“What are your thoughts on WWE? Which brand needs to improve most and how?” from @CertifiedCocoa_
Product wise, WWE is mostly alright. RAW is steadily improving and NXT UK is always an enjoyable product. I'm still not fully sold on NXT 2.0 yet but it definitely has some good talent. Smackdown has somewhat declined in my opinion. Everything to do with Reigns is great but apart from that everything just seems a bit dry and lacklustre. With all that taken into consideration, I'd probably say Smackdown needs the most overall improvement
How would i fix these issues? Despite me not liking NXT 2.0, i think they're doing what that brand is supposed to do, which is be a developmental for talent, but it just isn't really appealing to me so far. I can't put my finger on what EXACTLY has to change so i suppose all i can do is just give it time to grow on me. For Smackdown, it's a simple solution. Give matches/segments that don't involve Roman time and most importantly, make them meaningful. Smackdown occasionally give matches like Sasha & Toni vs Charlotte & Shotzi 20 minutes or so which is awesome, but there's not really any purpose behind them. Nakamura has suffered a lot from this, his Intercontinental Title reign has been booked horrifically due to a severe lack of care towards the competitor and the title itself
“What are you most excited for in 2022?” from @SmarkNation
Probably the fact that we're about to witness an entire year of CM Punk for the first time in almost a decade. All the potential bouts and feuds are a real exciting prospect
“Opinion on Chris Brookes?” from @TranquiloSZN
I've been meaning to talk about Brookes for some time. I adore his work and personality. Whether it be in DDT or ChocoPro i find him immense. He can be comedic or just go ahead and have a sensational bout. Truly underrated
“Favourite DDT Match Ever?” from @_PrinceMedhi
There's been an overwhelming amount of DDT talk in this blog already and I'm loving it. As for my favourite encounter from the promotions history, it's a tie between two drastically different match-ups
You can probably guess what I'm about to say, it's of course Kenny Omega vs Kota Ibushi from the DDT 15th Anniversary show. The athleticism on display here is remarkable. Ibushi performed a moonsault from the heavens and later on kicked out of the One Winged Angel, and remains the only man to achieve that to this very day. The entire Golden Lovers saga is a beautifully told story and this match has such a special meaning attached to it
I'm aware the following isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it brought me so much joy. It's Minoru Suzuki vs Sanshiro Takagi in an Empty Arena match. This was done in 2017, so it was a glimpse into the future in a strange way. This was hilarious. Suzuki is honestly one of the greatest comedic wrestlers ever. His intimidating demeanor merged with a comedy scenario is perfect. Such a goofy match with spots that always amuse me
“Who would you book as the next 3 AEW World Champions?” from @FR1NG3FAC3
I'll keep this short and sweet and try to add a sense of realism to my predictions. MJF will defeat Hangman which should make him the most hated man in professional wrestling. Trying to decide who'll take the title from MJF is very difficult. I'll go with Eddie Kingston though as he's got the entire wrestling fandom behind him right now and him reaching the top would garner an insane pop. I'd then have Adam Cole win against Kingston, which would then lead to a heel Cole vs face Kenny Omega feud
